Prime respects your privacy and the confidential nature of your personal information and will ensure same is used appropriately, transparently and according to applicable law.
What type of information will be collected and how this information will be used
In terms of the Protection of Personal Information (“POPI”) Act you are notified that the information provided and obtained through your use of this website will be held and processed by Prime, its affiliated Insurers, reinsurers, UMA’s and administrators.
We collect and processes your personal information mainly to help us to improve our service to you and to provide you with access to the services and products of the affiliated Insurers, reinsurers, UMA’s and administrators with whom we have contractual agreements in place.
When submitting any personal information, the information that we receive from you will be used only for the purpose for which the information is requested and to enable Prime to comply with its obligations or to comply with any legal requirement. This use may include:
- Providing products or services to you and to carry out the transaction you requested:
- For underwriting purposes;
- Assessing and processing claims;
- Confirming and verifying your identity;
- For purposes of claims history;
- For the detection and prevention of fraud, crime, money laundering or other malpractice;
- Conducting market or customer satisfaction research;
- For audit and record-keeping purposes;

In addition to the aforesaid, by submitting your information you authorise Prime, it’s affiliated Insurers, reinsurers, UMA’s and administrators to use your personal information for current and future marketing campaigns, initiatives and programs allowing us to communicate with you about new products and services as they develop.
With your consent, we may also supplement the information that you provide to us with information we receive from other affiliated Insurers, reinsurers, UMA’s and administrators to offer you a more consistent and personalised experience in your interactions with us.
Prime’s affiliated Insurers, reinsurers, UMA’s and administrators are subject to the same privacy regulations as Prime is subject to.
Prime will never disclose your personal information to any other company or organisation unless we are required to do so by law or where it is in the public interest that such disclosure is necessary or where you have expressly authorised us to do so.
Safeguarding your Information
The POPI Act requires Prime to adequately protect the personal information it holds and to avoid unauthorised access and use of your personal information. Prime will continuously review our security controls and processes to ensure that your personal information is secure.
If Prime needs to transfer your personal information to another country for processing or storage it will ensure that any party to whom it passes your personal information onto will treat your information with the same level of protection as required from Prime.
