A new facelift for the Raider
The Raider received a new grille with a chrome border. In addition, the 2.8 GD-6 Raider is equipped with Bi-LED headlights and LED indicators.
What about the interior?
A striking 8-inch infotainment system with a floating screen design can be found inside the Raider.
More power is on offer
The power output of the Hilux’s turbocharged 2.8-litre diesel engine in the 2.8 GD-6 series increased by 30 kW to reach 150 kW. In the automatic models, torque grew by 50 Nm to a total of 500 Nm. Manual models kept their torque at 420 Nm.
The Hilux’s transmission
The automatic and manual Hilux models have six gears, while the bakkie is available as a 4×2 or a 4×4.
What about towing capacity?
The towing capacity of the 2.4 GD-6 4×4 was increased to 3.5 tonnes, which is equal to that of the 2.8 GD-6 4×4.
The ‘Legend’ name is back
Flagship models of the new Hilux range will receive the ‘Legend’ name. An optional accessory package called ‘Legend RS’ is available for all ‘Legend’-grade models that include a dust-defensive kit, a rubberised bedliner, and a motorised roller shutter.
Wide colour selection
There are 9 exterior colours, with two new additions: Pearl White and Oxide Bronze. Only the 2.8 GD-6 4×4 Legend can have Attitude Black. Raider models are equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, but 18-inch wheels have been allocated to Legend derivatives.
