The facelifted 2016 Audi A3 has had a noticeable change with redesigned headlights and taillights. Across the range, Xenon-plus headlights are fitted, but you can opt for extra LED headlights, and Matrix LED headlights. The grille on the A3 has been broadened, and its features have been sharpened with the rear diffuser also being revised. The A3 comes in 12 exterior colour options, that being to name a few of the new colours: Ara Blue, Cosmic Blue, Nano Grey, Tango Red and Vegas Yellow.
The Audi A3 comes standard with 16-inch wheels, and the Design or Sport models come fitted with 17-inch wheels with an optional 18and 19-inch wheels that can be fitted to your A3.

The A3 has a virtual cockpit which transforms the instrument cluster into a 12.3-inch diagonal TFT screen. The A3 is fitted standard with a 7-inch MMI radio plus navigation, MMI navigation plus. MMI touch is an optional extra.
When it comes to safety technology, the Audi A3 has active lane assist and Audi pre-sense with predictive pedestrian protection which can be specified. There are optional extras that can be fitted to your Audi A3 like the traffic jam assist which will work together with the A3’s adaptive cruise control and Stop&Go feature, which will manage the distance between the vehicle and traffic up ahead at speeds of up to 65kph. The Emergency Assist feature will work when the system picks up that there is no steering activity which will bring the A3 to a stop. The cross-traffic assist on the rear of the car will warn you if another vehicle is approaching you while you are reversing.

The Audi A3 is available with five engine choices. This includes three petrol motors and one diesel motor. The entry-level A3 comes with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and offers a power output of 85kW and 200Nm of torque. The fuel economy is claimed to be 4.5 L/ 100km when paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
There is a new 1.4-litre cylinder-on-demand turbo-petrol engine which offers a power output of 110kW and 250Nm of torque. The fuel economy is claimed at a 4.5 L/ 100km when paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
You could consider the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a power output of 140kW and 320Nm of torque if you are looking for more power. The claimed fuel economy is 5.5 L/ 100km when mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Audi S3 is fitted with the same motor and gearbox, but the power output is cranked up to 228kW and 400Nm of torque. The claimed fuel consumption is 6.4 L/ 100km.
The diesel option is a 2.0-litre turbodiesel with a power output of 105kW and 340Nm of torque. The fuel economy is claimed at 4.5 L/ 100km when paired with the S-Tronic gearbox.
