Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Main responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Lead and oversee all aspects of the quality assurance process within the organisation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within the organisation, implementing strategies to enhance quality and streamline operations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure optimal performance and development.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement key performance indicators to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance initiatives, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within existing processes and systems, implementing measures to mitigate these risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including new business, retentions, claims, and customer service, to drive a culture of quality, excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Minimum requirements

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices within the insurance industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet set targets, and improve existing processes.
