Seeing as though 2020 hasn’t exactly been a great year for action movies, these two still continue to amaze fans. Unlike its predecessor ‘Bad Boys II’, this movie does not have such harsh scenes and is more comical. Car chases and explosions abound in Miami’s streets, and both actors excel in their roles. This South Korean thriller, with scenes of gangsters drawing their guns in dark alleys, is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. Four friends, including Choi Woo-Shik, turn a gambling establishment upside down and make off with a large bag of greenbacks as well as some highly prized hard-drives. This makes them a serious target for a vicious, hired killer called Park Hae-Soo. Scenes are from the underworld taking place in the streets involving police and automatic rifles are guaranteed to give you that rush of adrenalin. The movie should appeal to fans who have repeatedly watched ‘Heat’, ‘Collateral’ and ‘Miami Vice’. It can be streamed via Netflix.
Starring Margot Robbie’s ruthless Harley Quinn, this is a highly enjoyable movie. The choreography is impeccable, and so are the fantastic fight scenes, involving hand-to-hand combat. What is particularly striking is the use of rollerblades in a car chase that will leave you stunned. It is available on Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and more streaming platforms.
During this under 90-minute movie, your nerves will be frazzled while you watch Bethany Anne Lind’s performance as ‘Leigh’. Having survived an attempt on her life, it turns out she may have killed a man found dead on a garage floor. Various scenes are veiled in secrecy, but with time, the plot begins to unfold to raise the tension. ‘Blood on her Name’ involves a family scenario, and when violence does erupt, it’s well worth watching. Even though the movie is not exactly from the top draw, it still manages to present a lively performance. It is available on Amazon Prime and other streaming platforms.
In this Netflix movie, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth is in the thick of ample shooting using an assault rifle. Despite tremendous odds stacked against him, he continues fighting while protecting an Indian drug lord’s child. It can be streamed on Netflix at this time.
